Position Overview:<\/b>
<\/p>

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Cardiology team in Hilo, Hawaii. You will work alongside a collaborative group of cardiologists and healthcare professionals to provide high\-quality cardiovascular care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Key Responsibilities:<\/b>
<\/p>

• Conduct patient evaluations, histories, and physical exams for new and follow\-up cardiology patients.
  <\/li>
• Manage and monitor patients with common cardiovascular conditions such as hypertension, coronary artery disease, atrial fibrillation, heart failure, hyperlipidemia, etc.
  <\/li>
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests including EKGs, Holter monitors, echocardiograms, and stress tests.
  <\/li>
• Assist in care coordination for patients undergoing procedures or referred for specialty care.
  <\/li>
• Provide inpatient cardiology consults and follow\-ups (if applicable).
  <\/li>
• Participate in hospital rounds, discharge planning, and transitions of care.
  <\/li>
• Educate patients and families on lifestyle changes, medications, and disease management.
  <\/li>
• Collaborate closely with supervising cardiologists, primary care providers, and support staff.

  Qualifications:<\/b>
  <\/p>

  • Current and unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Hawaii, or eligibility to obtain.
    <\/li>
  • National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA).
    <\/li>
  • BLS and ACLS certification required.
    <\/li>
  • Minimum 1–2 years of cardiology or internal medicine experience preferred, but strong new graduates with relevant rotations or RN background in cardiology will be considered.
    <\/li>
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    <\/li>
  • Comfortable working independently with physician support.
    <\/li>
  • EMR experience (Epic or equivalent preferred).
